Published on

Kingston, Jamaica – NCB Capital Markets has notified its clients of a slight increase in trade and settlement fees for equity transactions, effective January 1, 2025.

The Jamaica Central Securities Depository (JCSD) has approved the adjustment, raising the fee from 0.03% to 0.04% of the trade value.

This modest increase, the first in five years, reflects the JCSD’s commitment to maintaining stable and competitive pricing despite rising operational costs.

NCB Capital Markets emphasized that all trades executed before January 1, 2025, will be processed using the previous 0.03% fee.

The updated fee structure is as follows:

  • Trade & Settlement Fees: 0.04%
  • CESS Fees: 0.32%
  • Total: 0.36%

NCB Capital Markets encourages clients to reach out with any questions or concerns regarding this change. They expressed gratitude for their clients’ continued support.

This news follows the ongoing decline of the NCBFG stock on the Jamaica Stock Exchange, which has reached a historic 52-week low of JM$47. This marks the lowest share price since November 2016, when it previously hit its lowest point.

Trading with NCB Capital Markets can be done through its web portal or mobile apps available on iOS and Android.
