OV Entertainment Group(OVEG) has announced its Kokku Games and Studio 30GS acquisitions.

OVEG is a newly formed UK-based global multimedia entertainment company that encompasses games, film/TV, and advertising industries.

These acquisitions see Kokku Games becoming the flagship company within the group with the notable promotion of Thiago de Freitas, the CEO and founder of Kokku who will assume the role of OV Entertainment Group CEO following the acquisition.

The Newly minted CEO highlights OVGA’s mission to create a “building a cross-media company focused on strong brands, organic growth, and profitability. By leveraging the combined expertise of our teams, we are pushing the boundaries of the entertainment industry further than ever before”.

A Group he says will “encompasses games, films/TV, advertising, and tech and tools, all under one roof, thereby mitigating the risks associated with working in a single industry.”.

This belief was also affirmed by Ricardo Flores(Kokku’s studio head), and Mauricio Navajas (Co-founder and CEO of 3OGS) who both noted the opportunities for convergence of games, film/TV, and advertising that grow, evolve, and innovate.

The announcement also highlights OVEG’s plans to double the output in 2024 for both companies. The company also has the likes of Christopher Bergstresser, a former executive at Sega, MTG, EG7, and Miniclip, assumes the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), and Oliver Kern, a former executive at Jagex and Lockwood, steps in as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Kokku Games is a Brazil and Portugal-based provider of end-to-end creative development and Co-Development for AAA/AA projects, boasting a strong presence with offices in Europe and LatAm.

Kokku has partnered with industry giants such as Activision, Guerrilla Games, Codemasters, Electronic Arts, Paradox Interactive, Samsung, Netflix, and many more.

30GS is a Tools & Tech Company located in Cordoba, Argentina, known for its high-end engineering and programming services for the Video Games Industry.
