Los Angeles, January 5, 2026 – The world of sports viewing is about to undergo a radical transformation.
Lakers fans, prepare for an unprecedented experience: Spectrum Front Row in Apple Immersive is officially tipping off January 9, bringing live Los Angeles Lakers games directly to Apple Vision Pro users.
This revolutionary storytelling format, a collaboration between Spectrum and Apple, promises to place Apple Vision Pro users at the very center of the action. Imagine seven unique viewing angles: from the scorer’s table and beneath each basket, to a high-and-wide arena view, the player tunnel, the broadcast booth, and even a roaming courtside perspective for interviews. All of this comes with a blazing 150 Mbps feed, ensuring crystal-clear visuals. Is this the end of traditional sports broadcasts as we know them?

The experience, directed and produced specifically for Vision Pro, is truly designed for immersion. Emmy Award-winning play-by-play commentator Mark Rogondino and three-time NBA champion Danny Green will call the games, their voices brought to life by Ambisonic microphones capturing Spatial Audio of the arena. This means you’ll hear the crisp squeaks of sneakers, the swish of the net, and the roar of the crowd as if you were right there.
In-game graphics like scores, shot clocks, and rosters even appear in 3D, floating directly in front of the viewer. During breaks in play, the broadcast stays live within the arena, showcasing everything from pregame intros to team huddles.
While the live games are initially exclusive to Vision Pro users in the Lakers’ regional broadcast territory (Southern California, Hawaii, and parts of southern Nevada, including Las Vegas) via the new Spectrum SportsNet app or the NBA app, the immersive experience isn’t entirely limited.
Full-game replays and highlights will be available nationwide, and in select international markets where Vision Pro is sold, with the first game replay dropping January 11.
This tiered rollout strategy aims to cater to local fans while extending the groundbreaking technology globally.

Is this merely a premium offering for a select few, or a preview of how all sports will be consumed in the future? Only time, and fan adoption, will tell.
