Applications are invited for the 2025 Marcus Garvey Public Sector Graduate Scholarship to pursue full-time graduate studies at approved local and international universities. Studies can be onsite, online, or a combination of both, beginning in the 2025/26 academic year.

- Postgraduate Studies in Economics/Fiscal Policy
- Postgraduate Studies in Public Financial Management
- Postgraduate Studies in Legal Drafting
Eligibility
- Jamaican citizens permanently residing in Jamaica for at least three (3) years prior to application.
- Age 45 years or younger at the time of application.
- Applicants must apply to participating universities for their chosen program.
- Applicants must have *already* applied to a participating university and be eligible to graduate within two (2) years from the scholarship start date, or be accepted into a university program that can be completed within two (2) years.
- Must have obtained a university degree at the time of scholarship application (for graduate scholarships).
- At least two (2) years of continuous service to the Government of Jamaica (GOJ) and must ordinarily qualify for Study Leave.
Required Supporting Documents
- Certified copies of transcripts for all completed academic degrees.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation (Character, Employer, Academic).
- Certified copy of Birth Certificate/Bio-data Page of Passport.
- Medical Certificate.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Benefits
The Marcus Garvey Scholarship covers 100% of tuition costs for eligible programs within the specified thematic areas at participating universities. Additional benefits may include:
- Tuition and mandatory fees.
- Miscellaneous & Book allowance.
- Medical Insurance (where applicable).
- Round-trip airfare (economy class) at the beginning and end of studies (where applicable).
Obligation
Successful candidates will be required to sign a Bond Agreement with the GOJ before receiving the scholarship, committing to work in the public sector for a specified period after completing their studies.
