Xbox February Update: Cloud Gaming Gets Social, Plus More Games and AI News!

Xbox has rolled out a February update packed with exciting new features, primarily focused on enhancing the cloud gaming experience.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can now easily share invite links for their Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) sessions, allowing friends to jump in and play together seamlessly.

This feature works across web browsers and supported TVs, making it easier than ever to connect and game with friends.

Additionally, a host of new titles, including Blasphemous 2, Slime Rancher 2, and several Tomb Raider remasters, have been added to the cloud playable library, with more games like Atomic Heart and Cult of the Lamb on the way.

Beyond cloud gaming, Xbox is making strides in AI research. Following research published in Nature, they recently unveiled Muse, a generative AI model for gameplay ideation.

This technology has the potential to revolutionize game development, from reviving classic games to speeding up the ideation process for developers.

In January, Xbox also introduced a network quality indicator for cloud gaming, helping players diagnose connection issues, and released a controller firmware update improving thumbstick auto-centering and trigger adjustments.

These updates demonstrate Xbox’s commitment to improving its services and pushing the boundaries of gaming.

From easier cloud gaming invites to AI-powered game development, Xbox continues to evolve and offer players new and innovative ways to experience their favorite games.
