Korean wearable wellness startup, Ufirst has launched a new smart hearing aid called the ‘NUGUNA HEARING-AID‘. This hearing aid is designed to high-pitched sounds and inform the wearer of the direction of the sounds through vibration.
Looking like your typical neckband style Bluetooth headphones around around the users neck, The Nuguna Hearing-aid has a built-in microphone which recognize the ambient sound and tell the direction of the noise by vibrating.
It does this by obtaining the average value of ambient noise via carryout out 1,000 scans per second. Noises identified above this level are recognized as usual noise(busy construction site or streets).
Using the popular neckband design allows users a more comfortable experience compared to your average hearing aids which are worn in-ear.
The Nuguna Hearing Aid is current available at a price of around $500 USD, reasonable than your conventional hearing aid.
