“With Luminara, we’ve raised the bar once again, uniting legendary service, elevated design, and an extraordinary onboard experience to further define our distinct approach to ultra-luxury travel at sea,” said Ernesto Fara, President of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. He added that the vessel opens the door to new destinations and deeper guest experiences, reinforcing a commitment to exploration and innovation.

Tina Edmundson, President of Luxury at Marriott International, commented that Luminara is a continuation of The Ritz-Carlton’s legacy while being entirely its own. She described it as “a vessel designed for connection, discovery, and the transformative power of travel,” introducing far-reaching itineraries, a refined culinary vision, and thoughtfully designed spaces.

Impeccable Design

Inspired by the Latin word for ‘light,’ Luminara spans 794 feet (242 meters) and is designed as an “airy, elegant sanctuary” for up to 452 guests in 226 spacious suites.

Conceptualized by acclaimed design leaders like Chapi Design Luxury Division (public spaces) and AD Associates (suites), with lighting by DPA and exterior by Aivan, the yacht embodies contemporary craftsmanship.

Interiors feature warm walnut woods, Arabescato Corchia marble, and a palette of soft blues, warm greys, and deep ocean hues, accented with bronze and subtle ruby tones. Reflective finishes, sculptural lighting, and curved architecture evoke the fluidity of the sea. Each suite includes a private terrace. The new Residential Suite is noted for balancing intimacy and drama.

Inspired Art

An expertly curated art collection of 731 pieces, with approximately 65% commissioned specifically for the yacht, is featured throughout Luminara. The collection explores the interplay of light and celebrates Malta’s history.

Works include artistic reflections on knights’ armor and lighthouses, as well as delicate representations of the Maltese Hawk moth. Notable artists like Paul Klee, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, Gerhard Richter, and Andy Warhol are represented.

A standout feature is a seven-story suspended light sculpture illuminating the aft staircase atrium.

Innovative Cuisine

Dining aboard Luminara continues the brand’s commitment to culinary excellence with five venues. Two are collaborations with James Beard award winners and Michelin-starred chefs Fabio Trabocchi (Seta su Luminara, Italian cuisine) and Michael Mina (Beach House, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors inspired by his Egyptian heritage).

Other venues include Azur on Luminara (regional focus), Haesu Bit (pan-Asian), and Mistral (Mediterranean coastal dining). The yacht also features seven sophisticated bars, including the new Art Bar, set amidst a striking installation of Cycladic art.

Signature Amenities

Luminara elevates signature offerings with an expansive Marina featuring a floating lounge platform and central pool for direct sea access and activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, Seabob, and electric foiling boards.

A panoramic pool area on Deck 10 provides relaxation with a main pool and two jacuzzis. The Ritz-Carlton Spa® offers treatments from ESPA, 111SKIN, and Pisterzi in 11 treatment rooms, including exclusive options inspired by the yacht’s Asia-Pacific itineraries.
