T-Mobile US Dominates Q1 2025 with Industry-Leading Customer and Financial Growth

BELLEVUE, Washington – T-Mobile US, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMUS) has announced a strong start to 2025, reporting industry-leading customer and financial growth for the first quarter.

As per their earnings call, the mobile carrier has translated consistent customer growth into record Q1 net income. This is due to being, as the business puts it, the best network, alongside great value and overall experience.

T-Mobile’s Q1 achievements include a record 1.3 million postpaid net customer additions and 495,000 postpaid phone net customer additions, both the highest in the industry.

High Speed Internet saw 424,000 net customer additions which meant this segment led the industry as total customer connection of 130.9 million was reached.

  • Financially, T-Mobile reported a 5% year-over-year increase in service revenues, reaching $16.9 billion.
  • Postpaid service revenues grew by 8% to $13.6 billion.
  • Net income increased by 24% to $3.0 billion
  • Adjusted Free Cash Flow grew by 31% to $4.4 billion.

There was stockholder returns of $3.5 billion invested into the company. An area of weakness for the business comes in subscriber churn, a slight increase to 0.91% was reported. However, with an increase in customer additions, the news is generally positive.

T-Mobile has released T-Satellite, which connects from terrestrial to satellite networks. This means any of the company’s subscribers using modern phones can be hooked up to a satellite provider.

Looking ahead, T-Mobile is raising its 2025 financial guidance, excluding pending acquisitions, expecting postpaid net customer additions to be between 5.5 million and 6.0 million, adjusted EBITDA between $33.2 billion and $33.7 billion, and Adjusted Free Cash Flow between $17.5 billion and $18.0 billion.
