Broomfield, USA – Vail Resorts has announced that Sölden, a renowned ski and snowboard destination in Austria, will be included in the 2025/26 Epic Pass lineup.
The announcement comes just before the May 26 deadline to purchase the Epic Pass at its lowest price of the year.
Located in Tyrol’s Ötztal Valley, Sölden is celebrated for its high-altitude terrain, glacier access, and reliable snow conditions from autumn through spring. The resort offers a blend of alpine sports, entertainment, and wellness experiences.

“Sölden stands out as a premier alpine destination with remarkable snow reliability and panoramic views from its mountain tops and glacier ski area,” said Bill Rock, President of Vail Resorts’ Mountain Division. “Sölden is a bucket-list resort that we are thrilled to add to the Epic Pass.”
The resort is known for experiences beyond traditional skiing and riding, including:
- The 007 ELEMENTS James Bond experience located at over 9,800 feet.
- The ice Q gourmet restaurant, featured in the James Bond film “Spectre.”
- The BIG3 Rally, challenging skiers to conquer Sölden’s three highest peaks.
- Over 89 miles of slopes served by 31 lifts.
- Numerous cozy ski huts and on-mountain entertainment.
- Signature events like the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Opening and the Electric Mountain Festival.
- The Aqua Dome – Tirol Therme, an iconic thermal spa nearby.
Sölden is also investing in its infrastructure, with plans for two new high-capacity lifts for the 2025/26 season to improve glacier access and guest comfort.
Jakob Falkner, CEO of Bergbahnen Sölden, commented on the partnership, stating, “We’re proud to join the Epic Pass and open Sölden to a new global audience… This partnership brings together innovation, alpine heritage, and our passion for unforgettable mountain experiences – while showcasing Sölden’s unique mix of sport and entertainment worldwide.”
The addition of Sölden provides Epic Pass holders with five days of access to the resort for the 2025/26 winter season. This follows a week of announcements from Vail Resorts that also added Austrian resorts Saalbach, Zell am See-Kaprun, Mayrhofen, Hintertux, and Silvretta Montafon to the Pass for next season, joining existing partner Ski Arlberg.
This expands the Epic Pass network in Europe to 34 resorts across ten ski areas, complementing the unlimited, unrestricted access to 37 major North American resorts like Whistler Blackcomb, Vail Mountain, Breckenridge, and Park City Mountain.
Potential pass holders are reminded that the deadline to purchase the Epic Pass at the lowest price of the year is May 26. This date is also the last chance to secure two Buddy Tickets and six Ski With a Friend Tickets, and to use the flexible payment option of $49 down.
