Redmond, Wash. – Nintendo has officially announced the Nintendo Switch 2, launching June 5 at a suggested retail price of $449.99.
The new system promises enhanced hardware, reimagined online capabilities, and a wide range of games.

The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will be available for $499.99, including a system and a download code for Mario Kart World.
GameChat allows up to 12 players to voice chat, with options for screen sharing and video chat (using a compatible USB-C camera). GameChat is free until March 2026, then requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Safety features and parental controls will be in place.

Nintendo Switch games are also playable on Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers and peripherals will also be usable on Nintendo Switch 2.
With GameShare, players can share and play the same game with others who do not have the game via local play or online play with GameChat.
With Virtual game cards, players can easily manage all their purchased digital games, play games on two different systems, or even lend or borrow games.
