SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – Arajet, the Dominican Republic’s flagship airline, has officially launched its US operations, opening up a world of affordable travel possibilities to the Caribbean, South, and Central America.

Starting with flights from Miami and San Juan, and with New York on the horizon, Arajet is making good on its promise to connect the Americas with low fares, starting as low as $84 one-way.

Arajet is excited to welcome American tourists and the diaspora community with low fares to the Dominican Republic and more than 20 exciting destinations,

said Victor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet.

Victor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet further emphasized the importance of Miami, San Juan, and soon New York as key tourism markets and the airline’s vision of establishing the Dominican Republic as a major travel hub.

This expansion marks a significant milestone for Arajet, which has rapidly grown since its launch in 2022. The airline has already flown over 1.2 million passengers and boasts an 80% average on-time arrival rate.

Now serving 26 destinations across 17 countries, Arajet is poised to further democratize air travel in the region.

The Routes:

    • Miami (MIA) to Santo Domingo (SDQ): 4 flights per week, starting April 11, 2025
    • San Juan (SJU) to Santo Domingo (SDQ): 4 flights per week, starting June 4, 2025
    • Miami (MIA) to Punta Cana (PUJ): 6 flights per week, starting June 13, 2025
    • Connecting Flights from Santo Domingo (SDQ): Available to Aruba (AUA), Bogotá (BOG), Medellín (MDE), Costa Rica (SJO), El Salvador (SAL), Guatemala (GUA), Cancún (CUN), Mexico City (NLU), and Curaçao (CUR).

    Puerto Rico’s Governor González Colón highlighted the positive economic impact of Arajet’s operations, estimating a boost of $10.4 million and an addition of approximately 58,000 seats to the market. He expressed the government’s commitment to supporting airlines that strengthen air connectivity and market competitiveness.

    Arajet offers various fare packages – Smart, Comfort, and Extra – to cater to different passenger needs, including options for extra legroom, checked bags, and priority boarding. Passengers can also enjoy Dominican-inspired food and beverages onboard.
