Jim Lanzone, CEO of Yahoo Inc., has joined Snap Inc.‘s board of directors, effective September 12, 2024.
Lanzone’s experience in technology and digital advertising is expected to benefit Snap Inc.
the announcement highlights Evan Spiegel’s, co-founder and CEO of Snap Inc., who looks forward to working with and learning from Lanzone.
Michael Lynton, Chairperson of Snap Inc.’s board also adds that Lanzone’s strong technology background is a key asset to the Snap Inc. board of directors.
Mr. Lanzone has been Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Yahoo Inc. since September 2021. Before that, Mr. Lanzone served as CEO of Tinder. Previously, he served as President and CEO of CBS Interactive for over 8 years, and he became CBS Corporation’s first Chief Digital Officer. He has also previously served on the board of directors for GoPro, Inc. and Edmunds.com. Mr. Lanzone holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from UCLA and a JD/MBA from Emory University.
