One of the world’s best-performing stock markets, The Jamaica Stock Exchange has announced that their annual Public Stock Market Game is now open to members of the public and offers over $300,000 JMD in prizes.
Live trading involves a lot of risks and upskilling, which is why the JSE Public Stock Market game offers potential and existing investors the opportunity to experience the stock exchange via the stock market game.
Experienced and novice investors can start registering and start playing the JSE Public Stock Market game begin.
What is the game?
The JSE stock market game runs for a year, starting on the 19th of October 2021 through to 2022.
Each Investor is given $100,000 virtual funds at the beginning of the game which they will use to invest in common stocks listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange’s Main and Junior Markets.
Players can play the game on each live market day, Monday – Friday during the hours of 1:30 pm – 12 am (midnight) EST. Players also have a minimum of 100 shares per buy and sell order on the days traded volume.
Game trades will be based on the stocks traded on the same day of the transaction, which is live market hour trades during 9:30 am and 1:00 pm EST.
How do I get started? You can simply visit the Jamaica Stock Exchanges Website and click “Register for a free account” at the right top of the homepage. You then be asked to create a username, a password and confirm the verification request via email.
