The popular Jamaican eGift Card & Rewards platform, Giftme, has introduced a new feature that enables users to easily top up their mobile phone balances directly within the app using their smart cards.
This new functionality aims to simplify the mobile top-up process, making it faster and more accessible for users. By integrating smart card payments, Giftme offers a convenient alternative to traditional methods like purchasing scratch cards or visiting physical stores.
How does it work?
Users can choose the “Mobile Top-Up” option in the Giftme app. They need to enter their mobile number, select the desired top-up amount, and choose “Smart Card” as their payment method. After filling in their smart card details, they can confirm the transaction and will receive instant confirmation.
The feature is compatible with both Flow and Digicel mobile carriers. Giftme also supports over 350+ Jamaican eGift cards.
This new feature is expected to be particularly beneficial for users who prefer the convenience of digital payments and those who frequently run low on mobile phone credit.
Choosing eGift cards over traditional plastic ones helps protect the environment by reducing pollution from production and disposal. This decision lowers the carbon footprint and prevents plastic waste from reaching landfills.
So far, eGift card initiatives have saved 7,023.86 kg of CO2 and prevented 1,713.55 kg of PVC plastic from entering landfills, thanks to the sale of 337,979 eGift cards. Together, we can make a significant positive impact on the planet.
