Gardner, Mass. – Residents and businesses in Gardner, MA, will soon see construction crews building the new fiber optic internet from Gateway Fiber.
The company is expanding its coverage area in western Massachusetts with speeds and reliability higher than any previous internet service in the area.
“My office is constantly hearing about ‘How do we get access to internet providers? How do we modernize how we get information out to the public?’” said Gardner Mayor Michael Nicholson. “This is filling in that gap that we are hearing about constantly.”
Gardner joins Northampton as Gateway Fiber’s second city in Massachusetts and 26th city overall.
Nicholson stated that Gateway Fiber has worked with Gardner city officials to make the network buildout smooth. Gateway Fiber is also donating free public Wi-Fi over at Monument Park.
