Fafrees Shows Off New EU-Approved High-Speed E-bikes

Frankfurt am Main, Germany – Fafrees, an electric bike brand, is preparing to debut its newest collection of e-bikes at Eurobike 2025, scheduled for June 25–29 at Messe Frankfurt.

The company plans to showcase some of the first high-speed electric bicycles to receive EU type approval, highlighting its focus on advancing e-mobility standards.

Among the featured models is the F20 Mate, described as an EU type-approved electric cargo trike. Designed for safe and stable transport, it features a 500W motor and a top speed of 30 km/h, built to handle heavier loads. The trike includes an aluminum differential, a triple braking system for control, a 23.45Ah battery for range, all-terrain fat tires, and a foldable step-through frame.

Also being introduced is the FF20 Polar, presented as one of the first EU type-approved (L1e-B) high-speed folding e-bikes. Suitable for commuting and leisure rides, it can reach speeds up to 45 km/h. It is powered by dual 48V 13.4Ah batteries and features a 500W motor for acceleration. Key features include 20×4.0″ fat tires and front suspension for comfort, along with E-Mark certified lighting and mirrors, making it road-legal across the EU.

Completing this new trio is the F20 Ultra, another EU type-approved (L1e-B) model designed with a moto-style look, capable of a 45 km/h top speed. It is equipped with a 750W high-torque motor and a 48V 25Ah LG battery for range and power, particularly for off-road use. This model comes with 20×5.0” fat tires, 100mm suspension, and hydraulic disc brakes for control and performance.

All three models mentioned – the F20 Mate, FF20 Polar, and F20 Ultra – are certified under Regulation (EU) No 168/2013. This certification ensures they meet strict EU standards for safety, environmental impact, and performance, permitting their use on roads throughout the European Union.

Fafrees will also be displaying its F700 Series city e-bikes, which feature torque sensors and are designed as S-pedelecs (speed pedelecs). Additionally, the F20 Lasting, a foldable e-bike focused on urban portability and power, will be showcased.
