LOS ANGELES, USA (June 3, 2025) – Big news for Xbox gamers! Square Enix is expanding its reach on Microsoft’s platforms, announcing that FINAL FANTASY™ XVI is available digitally for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC.
Not stopping there, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE will also arrive digitally for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC this Winter. This move, part of Square Enix’s multi-platform strategy, means that now every mainline, single-player FINAL FANTASY game, plus the popular MMORPG FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, can be played on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
If you’re ready to jump into the latest adventure, FINAL FANTASY XVI is available as the full FINAL FANTASY XVI Complete Edition. This includes the base game along with the “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide” DLC chapters at a discounted price. You can also buy the base game and DLC separately. A cool feature for Xbox players is Xbox Play Anywhere support, which means you get cross-entitlement and can carry your save data between console, PC, or even the cloud, letting you play how you want. This is the expanded version of the first part of the FFVII remake project and includes an extra story arc that takes place during the game’s events, featuring the character Yuffie. It’s your chance to relive the beginning of the iconic 1997 game’s story in the dystopian city of Midgar as Cloud Strife, joined by memorable allies.
