Dubai Opens Registration for Global Self-Driving Transport Congress

Dubai, UAE – Registration is now open for the fourth edition of the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport.

Hosted by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai and held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the event is scheduled to take place on September 24 and 25, 2025.

The congress will operate under the theme “Redefining Mobility: The Path to Autonomy.” Its primary goal is to serve as a global platform for exploring and discussing the latest advancements in autonomous mobility technology.

According to the announcement from RTA, the event brings together leading local, regional, and international companies, technology experts, innovators, specialists, decision-makers, investors, and government officials from around the world.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency and Chair of the Organising Committee, highlighted the success of previous editions, stating that the congress has become a key global platform.

He added that the event aims to showcase Dubai’s vision to transition 25% of the city’s transport modes to autonomous systems by 2030.

A major highlight of the congress will be the announcement of the winning consortium of the Dubai World Challenge for Self-Driving Transport 2024.

Participants in this challenge have been competing to present the most innovative solutions in autonomous mobility, specifically focusing on integrating multiple independent autonomous transport systems under one cohesive service umbrella, with the winning consortium set to receive a $3 million prize.

Autonomous mobility is a cornerstone of RTA’s strategy, and the authority is actively rolling out various initiatives to implement this technology throughout Dubai.
