Digital asset financial services provider, BitGo is continuing its expansion by announcing its acquisition of Lumina, a comprehensive crypto-native financial platform for an undisclosed amount.
Whats the Heck is Lumina?
Lumina is a VC backed (Craft Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, and Dragonfly Capital Partners) portfolio service company founded back in 2018. The acquisition means that all Lumina employees will become BitGo employees along with Lumina’s CEO, Chen Feng becoming BitGo’s Chief Product Officer which will report to CEO, Mike Belshe.
The expansion is also coupled with the expansion of its services to institutional investors via its dashboard for managing, accounting, and tracking the entirety of their digital asset holdings and activities across wallets, exchanges, and service providers.
