Seoul, South Korea – Bankees Foundation, formerly Nexfin, has partnered with Mastercard to issue crypto-rechargeable prepaid cards.
According to the announcement, the agreement was finalized in March 2025 and allows card issuance across nearly all global markets, excluding only the United States and Japan for now.
The service will be available in South Korea, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Europe, South America, Canada, and Australia, with plans to expand into the U.S. and Japan in 2026, pending regulatory approval.
Under the partnership, Bankees Foundation can design and produce its own branded cards. The initial rollout will feature five unique card designs, all issued under Mastercard’s regulatory framework, including mandatory Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.
A Platinum-tier card is also being developed in collaboration with Visa, marking a rare dual-network collaboration in the crypto card space.
Bankees plans to offer a basic version of the card in countries with large unbanked populations, allowing more access to digital payment infrastructure.
The company has rebranded from Nexfin with a youthful image, complete with its own character IP.
The official website, whitepaper, token issuance, and technical audits are scheduled to go live by the end of May 2025. Bankees leadership will also participate in the DNA HOUSE event in June 2025.
Bankees Foundation is a digital financial services company focused on crypto solutions.
