Eli’s Cheesecake Unveils Giant 1,000-Pound Desserts for Democratic National Convention

Eli’s Cheesecake of Chicago is creating two 1,000-pound cheesecakes for the Democratic National Convention.

The first cake served at the Welcome Party, featured all 50 state placards and was a big hit per Eli’s Cheesecake.

By the end of the Convention, over 5,400 pounds of Eli’s Cheesecake will have been consumed.

Eli’s is known for its “Chicago-Style” cheesecake, which has a shortbread cookie crust and creamy texture.

The bakery has a history of creating celebratory cheesecakes for significant Chicago and Illinois events.

One of Eli’s main decorators is Ivanna Yatskiv, a refugee from Ukraine, highlighting the bakery’s inclusivity.
