Acer Launches New Tablets and 5G Connectivity Devices

Taipei, TaiwanAcer has unveiled a range of new devices designed for productivity and entertainment on the go.

They have announced two new models in their Iconia V series of tablets, alongside three new products focused on fast 5G network connectivity.

The new tablets, the Acer Iconia V12 and Acer Iconia V11, are presented as versatile companions for everyday use, suitable for students, families, and general consumers. They feature lightweight, all-metal chassis designs and vibrant displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio, up to 2K resolution, and a 90 Hz refresh rate, designed for a responsive viewing experience.

Key features of the Iconia V series tablets include:

  • Powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor with up to 8 GB of RAM for smooth performance.
  • Running on Android 15.
  • Thin, lightweight designs (V12 at 595g, V11 at 500g) in a mist green aluminum alloy body.
  • Optional magnetic folio case that functions as a three-level kickstand.
  • Up to 256 GB of built-in storage, expandable to 1 TB via microSD card.
  • 8,000 mAh battery offering up to 10 hours of life and fast charging via USB Type-C.
  • Dual speakers and 5 MP front/8 MP rear cameras.
  • Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, with an optional 4G LTE variant for the V11.

Acer also introduced three new devices to enhance 5G network access

  • Acer Connect X6E Plus 5G CPE: Designed for reliable home or workspace connectivity, this device offers Global 5G NR and Wi-Fi 6E. It features NFC touch-to-connect technology for easy pairing with Android devices, supports eSIM, Nano SIM, and vSIM, and provides network options like dual WAN and load balancing. It can connect up to 128 devices.
  • Acer Connect M4 Mobile Wi-Fi: A portable hotspot providing ultra-fast 5G internet on the go. It connects up to 16 devices via Wi-Fi 6 and supports tri-SIM (Nano SIM, eSIM, vSIM) for international use without needing physical SIM swaps. The device boasts rugged IP68 durability, an 8000 mAh battery for up to 28 hours of use, functions as a power bank, and includes enterprise-level security features.
  • Acer Connect D5 Pro 5G Dongle: Offering plug-and-play access to fast 5G networks, this lightweight dongle (under 52g) delivers uplink speeds up to 3.2 Gbps. It is compatible with Windows, Chrome, Mac, and Linux OS, supports Nano SIM (hot-swappable) as well as eSIM and vSIM, includes robust security protocols, and connects via USB 3.0 Type-C.

Pricing and availability for the new devices vary by region. The Acer Iconia V11 tablet is expected in EMEA and Australia in August, starting at EUR 229/AUD 329 respectively. The Iconia V12 is expected in EMEA and Australia in July, starting at EUR 289/AUD 429.

The Acer Connect X6E Plus 5G CPE is anticipated in EMEA in September starting at EUR 249.

The Acer Connect M4 5G Mobile Wi-Fi is set for EMEA availability in August, starting at EUR 199.

Finally, the Acer Connect D5 Pro 5G Dongle is also expected in EMEA in September, starting at EUR 199.
